Rescue dog Edgar is now a permanent fixture in our household. His predesessor, Skippy, died at the not so old age of 8. Was it something he ate that set him up for an early demise? We’ll never know.
We at the Rubin Rodeo are determined that little Edgar leads a long and healthy life. That’s why what he eats matters.
As luck would have it, one of my chef pals from Camp Ballibay, Alison Weiner, has started a really cool pet food company out of Brooklyn. Alison is a health supportive chef and a dog owner. Her attention to detail never ceases to amaze me. Back in the kitchen at Camp Ballibay, she would hand out spoons for all of us to taste the food before we served it to the campers. Did it need a touch of lemon? More salt?
Alison puts every bit of love, devotion and attention to detail in her dog food, Evermore. The ingredients are of human grade, which is a higher standard of food than most pet foods. The meat contains no antibiotic or hormones and no fillers, corn, soy or wheat.
I’m not kidding that it’s good enough to eat! Evermore’s owners Allison and Hanna ate their food every day for an entire month! You can learn more about their adventure and about Evermore’s high quality ingredients by clicking here.
Most importantly, Edgar loves it. He even recognizes the box and shows way more enthusiasm when I’m scooping out some Evermore than he does with his regular canned fare.
If you love your pet, I hope you’ll check out Evermore. You can support both Hanna and Alison’s growing business by clicking here: IndieGoGo
