Many of my friends and collegues are participating in National Novel Writing Month also known as NaNoWriMo. They are committing to putting 50,000 words on paper, roughly 1,600 a day for 30 days. While I’d love to get more serious about my writing, I am a realist. I don’t have a novel in me and I can’t imagine typing 1,600 words a day.
For people like me, there is NaBloPoMo or National Blog Posting Month. People who want to set the habit of blogging by doing it every day for a month, including weekends, can visit www.NaBloPoMo.com for moral support, inspiration, and the camaraderie that only marathon blogging can provide.
Here’s the challenge I’ve set for myself for November: 30 Soups in 30 Days. It should be easy and fun. Soup is the best food when the weather chills out. I’ve got loads of recipes in my collection to re-visit and write about.
The first soup of my 30 day journey is what I had for dinner tonight, its an oldie but a goodie: Curried Butternut Squash Soup. This soup is perfect for those recovering from too much Halloween candy. Winter squashes help to support the Earth element in Chinese medicine.
I hope you’ll read and cook along for the next 30 days. What’s YOUR favorite soup??
