The NY Times Op-Ed, Bundle Up, It’s Global Warming, informs us that thanks to climate change, we can expect a cold and snowy winter this year. Here at the Rubin Rodeo, we just spent the day digging through 24 inches of snow in our driveway as the sound of snow blowers buzzed through the air.
We’ve got a hand-me-down snow blower that spews toxic burnt oil and makes enough noise to wake the dead. Whenever hubby uses it, I give him total grief. Instead he’s got a sore knee and a backache and is threatening to buy a new snow blower or chip in with the neighbors to split the cost of one.
I found a better idea. It’s called a Wovel, its a combination of a wheel and a shovel that is supposed to clear snow without the backache of regular shoveling. I bought one and it will be here in time for the next snow storm. Stay tuned for photos of the Wovel in action!
