I’m still super busy at work on the public event I’m putting together next Saturday, September 21st. It is part of a nationwide push to help get folks up to speed on the Canadian Tar Sands and how they impact our weather, our water and our future.

Today as I write this blogpost, flash floods in Boulder Colorado are creating havoc. Close to 7 inches of rain fell in a 24 hour period. As I learned this summer in my Climate Reality Leadership training, a warmer planet holds more water, resulting in more intense downpours. Its all part of extreme weather fueled by man made climate change: longer droughts, bigger storms.

We’ve got to stop extreme energy extraction projects like the Canadian Tar Sands. The Keystone XL Pipeline is the key to tar sands extraction. I’ve been involved with this vitally important issue for a number of years now, I’d like you to join me. I’ll let Bill Mc Kibben tell you the story in this 2 minute video explaining the Draw the Line event for September 21st. See the video below or cut and paste this link : http://youtu.be/CCptyFi8Thc

Hope to see you in Mount Kisco next Saturday! Here are the details:
