Call Barry. Tell him NO Fracking and NO Tar Sands Pipeline!

Yes, I admit I can be a bit of a wise guy at times. My family tells me that my use of the English language is unique to say the least. So when I say “call Barry” what I mean is call Barack Obama, our President.

I’ve been calling Barry an awful lot lately since I learned about the Keystone XL Tar Sands Pipeline.  But today is a day for calling in to Barry about Fracking.

Fracking is bad news. If you haven’t seen GASLAND, you should. One of these days, I’m going to write about my personal experience seeing fracking damage first hand in PA.

Barry President Obama needs to hear from people all across the country that we demand clean water and healthy communities.    He’s got kids, he should know this. Barry President Obama needs to hear from all of us, the citizens, not just the big corporations that are breathing down his back.
A phone call is easy to make, takes only a few minutes and will make a difference in building momentum for a ban on fracking nationwide.
The phone number to call the White House is: 866-586-4069 (9am – 5pm)

Back up number in case lines are jammed: 866-942-5138 or 202-456-1111

Here’s a simple sample script:
“Hi my name is_______ and I live in (city, state).  I urge President Obama to protect the health of all Americans
by banning fracking in the United States. Also please NO Keystone Tar Sands Pipeline, it is not in our national interest.”

After you’ve made your call, please encourage your friends and family to call Barry  too!
Last I checked, democracy was not a spectator sport. I requires our participation, and not just on election day.
Your calls will make a difference! But most importantly, you’ll feel better after calling Barry.

Put his number on your cell phone, call often.
